Hi, I’m Christina Adams, the founder and electrologist behind Mainely Electrolysis!
My journey into permanent hair removal is deeply personal. I’ve struggled with PCOS and hormonal imbalances for most of my life, and I know firsthand how challenging and emotional unwanted hair can be. Everything changed when I met Renee at Honey Bee Electrolysis 10+ years ago—her care and encouragement inspired me to pursue this work myself. I’m proud to call her not only my mentor and colleague, but also a good friend.
I graduated from the Electrolysis Institute of New England (EINE) in 2018, and I’ve been honored to serve clients in the permanent hair removal field for over five years and counting. Helping people feel more confident and comfortable in their skin—especially those dealing with PCOS or hirsutism—is the most rewarding part of my work.
Whether you're dealing with scattered hairs or seeking larger area treatments, I approach every session with care, precision, and pride. It’s an honor to be part of each client’s unique journey.
Prices
Initial Consultation – $55
Includes a 15-minute treatment and time to discuss your hair removal goals, medical history, and treatment plan.
15 Minutes – $60
30 Minutes – $75
45 Minutes – $90
60 Minutes – $120
Payment is due at the end of each session. I currently accept cash, check, credit card, or Venmo. Please note that I do not accept MaineCare or any form of insurance. However, I’m happy to provide a detailed receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Please give me at least 48-hours in advance for cancellation/rescheduling. Failure to contact or cancel within the 48-hour window will result in a fee in the amount of $55 and for 2 hour sessions will result in a fee of $100 that will be due at your next appointment or before re-booking. No show/no calls will result in paying for your full scheduled appointment. I truly value your time and I hope that you value mine as well. I understand that life happens and some situations are unavoidable, but please reach out and communicate with me so that we can reschedule.

What is Electrolysis?
Electrolysis is a method of removing individual hairs from anywhere on the body. This FDA approved treatment, developed in 1875, has proven to be more effective and cost-efficient than laser or IPL by focusing on and eliminating the root cause of hair growth. Over time it has grown into one of the worlds most trusted, true way of permanently removing hair. Our top of the line medical equipment destroys the hair germ cells within each hair follicle with chemical or heat energy. A fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle at the surface of the skin and the current is delivered. Once complete, the hair is then carefully removed with tweezers.
